The Australian Museum and the Atlas of Living Australia developed DigiVol to assist Museums and conservation agencies to harness the power of online volunteers to help capture the information held in our specimen and image collections. DigiVol has been running for 4 years and has established an impressive reputation amongst both Museums and volunteers the world over. Currently DigiVol works best on a desktop. It would hugely benefit our data capture efforts to have a mobile and tablet based app that enabled volunteers to have fun, learn and capture data for us. Here are two examples of the template used to capture data on DigiVol. We would like the app to provide a means of volunteers capturing these data fields.
