A large amount of raw data from the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has been intentionally uploaded online by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) for public use. The data uploaded totaled to 300 terabytes (TB), which came after another one made in 2014. Researchers may legally access the information for free through the CERN Open Data Portal. The data includes over 100 TB of information gathered from proton collision at 7TeV. More data was gathered by the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector in 2011 using the LHC. LHC is “the world’s largest and most robust particle accelerator” that was created in 2008. It first went live on action in September 2010 with the primary goal of further understanding the mysteries of dark matter.
