Hackers who sign up for Sunshine Coast Hackfest 2015 will have the chance to share in $20,000 worth of prizes when they make their contribution to building a Smart City and region, thanks to the support of our platinum and gold partners Cisco, Telstra and Spark Bureau.Economic Development Portfolio Councillor Steve Robinson today announced the Hackfest champion would receive a $7000 prize package.Hackfest 2015 will bring together coders, digital creatives, data analysts, story tellers, entrepreneurs and the community to create apps, visualisations, websites and tools from government data sets.”We believe the prizes our Hackfest team have put together will be a great incentive for hackers to take part in our competition from November 20-22,” Cr Robinson said.
