The electronic payments and banking company ACI Solutions has announced it is to open a new EMEA data centre in late 2016 to accommodate growing demand. In terms of universal payments companies, ACI Worldwide is one of the largest of its kind, with its statistics showing that its software processes $13trn each day in payments and securities transactions for more than 300 of the leading global retailers, and 18 of the world’s 20 largest banks. But now, it has confirmed that it will expand its European data centre operations with the opening of the Irish-based data centre, making it the company’s largest data centre in Europe. Currently, the company operates several smaller data centres in the EMEA region along with a number of centres based in the US states of Georgia and Nebraska.
