It’s been just over a year that I, along with council, was elected, and I couldn’t be prouder. I have a great team and we have accomplished and seen so much in a short period of time. Council demonstrated very early on that we are open to change. We repealed the bylaw restricting store hours to ensure that businesses had the choice to make their own decisions on when they’d like to stay open. The City of Greater Sudbury Charter was signed by council as a whole. We have developed an excellent relationship and we’re all working together for the best interests of the citizens of Greater Sudbury. We have a more open and transparent government, through initiatives like open data, live streaming council and committee meetings, and communicating what we’re up to at the city.
