Open Data is about convenient, free and open access to government information. Open Data is also a platform for collaboration. Strathcona County is pleased to announce a new, collaborative Open Data partnership with Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS). The County is extending the use of its Open Data portal to EIPS to host local public school data and information. Initial data published will include school type and location, contact information, and student enrollment for 2013 and 2014, with more datasets to be added in the future. Since launching the Open Data portal in February 2014, Strathcona County has steadily increased the number of municipal datasets available on the platform.
