IBM は、アップルの時計など、アップル デバイスによって収集された健康データにアクセスするアプリケーションを作成する開発者にそのワトソン AI とクラウド プラットフォームを提供します。目的はワトソンのスーパー コンピューターの高度な分析にアクセスだけでなく、医学の研究者「セキュリティで保護された、開いているデータ ストレージ ソリューション」を与えます。ワトソン健康クラウド システムは、両方の HealthKit、消費者健康アプリのためのアップル社のプラットフォームと医療研究者による使用のために設計されている ResearchKit 動作します。IBM は anonymise し安全に研究者にアクセスできるように、クラウドにデータを格納できるだけでなくデータマイニングと予測分析をサポートします。つまり、医師、研究者および保険会社の病気に彼らの研究を支援するために匿名のデータを使用できます。

IBM will offer its Watson AI and cloud platform to developers making apps to access health data collected by Apple devices, such as the Apple Watch. The aim is to give medical researchers a “secure, open data storage solution” as well as access to the Watson supercomputer’s sophisticated analytics. The Watson Health Cloud system will work with both HealthKit, Apple’s platform for consumer health apps, and ResearchKit, which is designed for use by medical researchers. IBM will anonymise and securely store the data in the cloud, giving access to researchers as well as support with data mining and predictive analysis. That means doctors, researchers and possibly insurers can use the anonymised data to aid their research into illnesses.
