I’m impressed with where the Montgomery County government is taking openMontgomery — or perhaps where more openness might take our government. openMontgomery is really four initiatives in one: accessMontgomery, dataMontgomery, engageMontgomery, and mobileMontgomery. It’s a series of websites on which the county is publishing a lot of its data — things including salaries for county government employees, building permit information and budget allocations.
