PUTRAJAYA: Some government records will be declassified to accelerate the delivery of public projects for the people’s benefit, says Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. The move was in line with the Digital Government Transformation initiative, the Prime Minister said. “The initiative will push new frontiers in online service delivery, telecommunications infrastructure and human capital development,” he said at the closing of the 26th MSC Malaysia Implementation Council Meeting yesterday. Among those present were Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Communication and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek. Ahmad Shabery later said data that would be declassified would be the non-sensitive ones and meant for public consumption.
