このシステムは、リアルタイムのAI処理は、非常に小さい遅延時間で受信したほど急速には複数のリクエストを処理できるようにするために設計されている。

同社は、インテルStratix10FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)を用いた新しい方式を示した。

Stratix10はプロジェクトの「Brainwaveニャンリン」アーキテクチャを使用して、待ち時間の1msで第39.5の計算パワーTFLOPS(テラフロップス)を実現することができた。

Microsoft Projectの「Brainwaveニャンリン」システムをWindows Azureにリアルタイムでディープラーニング処理の強力な機能が利用可能だとしている。

The system is designed for real-time AI processing, which allows it to process multiple requests as quickly as it receives them with extremely low latency. The company demonstrated its new system using the Intel Stratix 10 FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array). The Stratix 10 was able to deliver 39.5 TFLOPS of computing power with 1ms of latency using the Project Brainwave architecture. Microsoft said it is working to bring the Project Brainwave system to Azure, giving the service powerful capabilities for real-time deep learning processing.
