Services provider Wipro has launched an Open Data Centre – Centre of Excellence (CoE) this week to help enterprises familiarise themselves with software defined infrastructure (SDI). The company said the facility integrates proprietary and open source solutions across all layers including network, storage, compute and cloud. The firm said it wants to show customers that interoperability between legacy systems and SDI solutions is possible. SDI allows cloud computing resources to be automatically managed and controlled by software, reducing the need for human tasks in the data centre, according to Intel.

Alibaba Group’s cloud business is targeting the Southeast Asian market with a new data center that will go online in Singapore this September. The Singapore facility is Alibaba’s second data center built outside China. The company has been pushing aggressively into cloud computing, with an eye toward international markets, including the U.S. Last month, Alibaba announced a US$1 billion investment to speed up those efforts. Other data centers are being planned for Europe, Japan, and the Middle East. As for the Singapore facility, it will also serve as Alibaba’s headquarters for its international cloud business. Although the new data center will target customers in Southeast Asia, the company has made attracting Chinese clients a priority.

SINGAPORE, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) — China’s e-commerce giant Alibaba Group said on Wednesday that it will open a data center next month in Singapore, the second overseas database to be launched this year by Aliyun, its cloud computing arm. Alibaba said the center will provide a range of cloud computing services to companies operating in Southeast Asia, with an initial focus on Chinese businesses. The new center will be connected with the existing six centers in Beijing, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Silicon Valley when it opens in September, it added. Alibaba also said Singapore will be the headquarters for Aliyun ‘s overseas operations.

The new Centers of Excellence will showcase software-defined technologies Indian IT services giant Wipro has launched two Centers of Excellence for open data center technologies, located in Mountain View, USA and Bangalore, India. The centers will focus on software-defined infrastructure (SDI), showcasing proprietary and Open Source solutions for networking, storage and compute. Antonia Acuna (pic), who heads the British open data portal Data.gov.uk, said Britain was also moving towards the creation of an open data society, which will not only make its citizens better informed, but help the Government and people make better decisions. HTMLから本文を抽出するpythonのライブラリの一つにreadabilityがあります。
readabilityはpipでインストールすることができます。

pip install readability-lxml

コマンドラインから実行することができます。日本語のページから抽出可能か、国立国会図書館のページで試してみます。

Pythonの本文抽出ライブラリboilerpipeのインストール（備忘録）

HTMLから本文抽出（スクレイピング）をするpythonライブラリの一つにboilerpipeがあります。
boilerpipeはpipでインストールすることができます。

pip install boilerpipe

もし、下記のエラーメッセージが出てしまったら、Microsoft Visual C++ 9.0をインストールしてください。

error: Microsoft Visual C++ 9.0 is required (Unable to find vcvarsall.bat). Get it from http://aka.ms/vcpython27

Microsoft Visual C++ 9.0は、次のURLからダウンロードすることができます。

インストールは無事終わったかにみえましたが、boilerpipeをインストールするとpythonじたいがクラッシュ。

原因不明なので、継続調査です。

ちなみに、Pythonのバージョンは 2.7.2です。

こちらのサイトを見ると、Windows環境はビックリマークが付いています。

boilerpipeがだめなら、他のライブラリを試すとするか…。ありましたありました、比較サイトが!
