科学技術 (MSET) 博士本町アンドリュー ・ ウィートリー エネルギー大臣は、オープン データ ポータルは国民や企業の状態の関与の増加と、情報へのアクセスの障壁の取り外しによって政府の透明性を促進すると言います。 金曜日 (6 月 24 日) 世界銀行によって資金を供給されてが、ポータルが起動します。 オープン データ通常自由に使用、再利用でき、著作権、特許からの制限またはその他のメカニズムなしに再配布政府によって生成される情報です。 システムでは、人が投資などの決定に影響を与えることができる専用の政府のウェブサイト、アクセス データに行くことができます。 2014 年に世界銀行が実施したデータを開く準備評価は、ジャマイカがこのようなシステムの準備ができていたことを発見しました。

Minister of Science, Energy and Technology (MSET) Dr. the Hon. Andrew Wheatley, says the open data portal will promote greater transparency in Government by increasing the State’s engagement with citizens and businesses, and removing barriers in accessing information. The portal, which is being funded by the World Bank, will be launched on Friday (June 24). Open data is information usually generated by the Government that can be freely used, reused and redistributed without restrictions from copyright, patents or other mechanisms. The system allows persons to go to a dedicated government website and access data that can influence decisions such as investment. An open data readiness assessment conducted by the World Bank in 2014, found that Jamaica was ready for such a system.
