UK information commissioner Christopher Graham argues that European and US authorities must better address questions and concerns around the new data regulations European data protection authorities are continuing to seek clarification from authorities with regard to the new ‘EU-US Privacy Shield’ over a perceived lack of clarity around key requirements and powers afforded by data transfer agreement. The privacy shield has been devised to set out clear safeguards and transparency obligations for US-based organisations processing data from EU citizens that will impact technology functions across the public and private sector.
