Department in discussions with numerous stakeholders over opportunities to link geospatial information with wider datasets both in and out of government The Government Digital Service (GDS) is working with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) to better exploit the potential benefits of open and freely available address data. The pledge follows a £5m commitment within last week’s Budget seeking to establish an open address register as part of wider government commitments to produce up-to-date, canonical datasets shared between government departments and wider agencies.
