HOW OPEN DATA CAN IMPROVE TOWNS AND CITIES Open Data is data is data that can be freely used, and redistributed by anyone and allows organisations and individuals to produce data driven decisions. Data is gathered about us, our activity and our environments every day. How do we harness this information to guide decisions that affect the look, behaviour and efficiency of our towns and cities? How can this data inspire innovative solutions to urban issues? A global change is underway as more and more “Smart Cities” evolve. Jersey’s efforts are embryonic and exciting. Cyril will be in Jersey to give presentations regarding the value of Open Data and to discuss the priorities for change as identified by Future St Helier Workshops.
