Dell unveiled Operating System 10 (OS 10) in a bid to boost its scope in open networking, which has been designed to introduce new levels of software flexibility and programmability in large-scale data center environments. The OS10 establishes a new benchmark for open software modularity and design for large-scale data centers, cloud operators. The base module leverages unmodified, open-source Linux with platform portability and rich application development environment. The OS10 software environment advances the functionality of modern data centers by disaggregating network software, so customers have more choice in how software is used throughout IT operations.
