The Boeing Co. has an agreement with an Atlanta-based developer to build a data center in Kings Mountain, sources say. T5 Data Centers of Atlanta announced last week it’s developing a 127,000-square-foot data center in its T5@Kings Mountain for a “Fortune 50 company.” Sources tell me Boeing will occupy the $75 million building, which is under construction in the 280-acre park. It will be the fourth data center in T5@Kings Mountain. T5 has developed three others that were sold to Walt Disney Co., Wipro Ltd. and AT&T Inc. North Carolina passed a data center incentives law during the 2015 session that caps the amount of taxes the owners pay for supplies and utilities. At the time, T5 predicted the new inducements would bring development to the Kings Mountain park.
