ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque has received yet another accolade. This time, it’s getting recognition for its digital side. Albuquerque may not be a giant city like New York City or Los Angeles but Government Technology Magazine listed it as 6th in the nation when it comes to cities using technology to improve services and boost efficiency. Use of the Albuquerque’s 311 system has more than doubled since its 2013 launch. People are now able to report a city problem or get information using the 311 app and website. It’s helping thrust the city into the national spotlight for its ability to improve transparency and citizen engagement. So much that it’s getting the attention of Government Technology Magazine and the Huffington Post, who are both taking notice.
