They happen around the country. Ferguson, Chicago, and this morning, in Fresno. There have been at least three officer-involved shootings in the valley since Christmas Eve. Now, Attorney General Kamala Harris is asking for detailed data on each case. “The reason for the contact, prior to the use of force, whether or not it occurred on a school campus, the gender, the age, where the injury was,” Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said. The department has the info, but Dyer says, usually focuses on other aspects. “The circumstances of the shooting, and whether or not that use of force was within department policy and within the law,” Dyer said.
