Commuters in Birmingham are waiting longer than any other city Birmingham suffers the most train delays in the country, according to new research that showed almost half of morning services were late. Data from September to November this year showed 46 per cent of services into New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill stations between 7am and 10am were late. It means passengers who use a train between 9am and 9.30am every day would lose 11 hours due to delays every year. David Sidebottom, Transport Focus’s passenger director, said the data, from Open Data Institute (ODI) analysis, showed the need for improvement in the rail industry.
