Hosted by Fremont Chamber of Commerce, a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday at Bennigan’s, 43968 Pacific Commons Blvd., marked the official opening for the Irish-themed restaurant and the start of a Toys for Tots drive meant to break the city’s all-time record for donations. Through Dec. 16, each guest who brings a new and unwrapped toy to Bennigan’s will receive a coupon for a free World Famous Monte Cristo which can be used on a subsequent visit. The coupon is valid until Jan. 31, 2016. The Fremont Bennigan’s features the chain’s newly introduced exterior design and signage, upgraded furniture and flooring, two outdoor patio areas with a fire pit and heaters, 15 60-inch flat screen televisions, 20 beers on tap and more than 20 signature cocktails.
