開かれた政府にオンタリオ州の取り組みの一環として州政府の透明性を高め、技術革新に拍車をかけるに公開データを作っています。 オープン データ ディレクティブは、2016 年 4 月 1 日から施行し、機密性、セキュリティまたは商業上微妙な理由すべてのオンタリオ大臣と地方機関の公表データ、プライバシー、法的免除がない限りする必要に適用されます。ディレクティブは、開いているデータに個人情報や機密情報が含まれていません。 政府は、収集し、就学率や交通量などのトピックの多種多様なデータを生成します。

As part of Ontario’s commitment to Open Government the province is making government data publicly available to increase transparency and spur innovation. The Open Data Directive will take effect on April 1, 2016 and will apply to all Ontario ministries and provincial agencies requiring them to make data public, unless it is exempt for privacy, legal, confidentiality, security or commercially sensitive reasons. The directive will ensure that open data does not contain personal or confidential information. The government collects and generates data on a wide variety of topics such as school enrolment and traffic volume.
