土曜日、リノ サミットのハックは都市が技術と地域の政府を埋めることができる方法を議論する日を過ごした。 過去にハック リノより良い地域社会を従事するアプリをつくった週末ハッカソン イベントをされています。 土曜日のサミットは少し違っていた、教育者、デザイナーおよび市当局、リノに直面している現実の問題について話をする代わりに一緒にもたらした。 リノ市マネージャー、アンドリュー ・ クリンガーはリノ サミットのハックで 1 ダース以上のスピーカーの 1 つだった。 彼は内部を提供するリノの新しいオープン データのポータルを提示都市で起きているように見えます。 「彼らは、外出することができます犯罪統計を参照してください、彼らは私達の予算、負債、建築許可、そういったこと、情報を見ることができます」クリンガーは言います。

On Saturday, the Hack for Reno Summit spent the day discussing how the city can bridge technology and government in the area. In the past, Hack for Reno has been a weekend hackathon event, where apps were built to better engage the local community. Saturday’s summit was a bit different and instead brought together educators, designers and city officials, to talk about real problems that Reno is faced with. Andrew clinger, the City of Reno Manager, was one of more than a dozen speakers at the Hack for Reno Summit. He presented Reno’s new open data portal which provides an inside look as to what’s happening in the city. “They can go out and see crime statistics, they can see information on our budget, debt, building permits and that sort of thing,” says Clinger.
