Australian incubator Pollenizer will work with the federal government to boost data-driven innovation in Australia through a new initiative called DataStart. The program hopes to find, incubate and accelerate innovative business ideas that leverage openly available data from the government. The winning business idea will be decided on after a pitching competition of short-listed applicants on January 18, 2016. Pollenizer will then help the winner develop the concept into startup over a nine month period. It will also be eligible for $200,000 in seed capital funding, an investment by Pollenizer Investments and Right Click Capital.
