The Scottish Government has announced a series of open data training workshops for public sector bodies. The workshops are part of the Government’s Open Data Strategy and are intended to support public sector bodies in implementing the principles and good practice for open data. There are two workshops for public sector employees: a one-day introduction course (‘Open Data Opportunity’) and a two-day extended course (‘Open Data in Practice’). The courses are due to take place in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Aberdeen over the next year, and are all funded by Scottish Government.
