MUSKOKA — In the weeks before the federal election this newspaper is exploring the issues of importance to the people of Muskoka. Each week we ask a question of the candidates seeking your vote. This week’s question is from Rebecca Paul of Bracebridge: If you were unable to vote for yourself in the upcoming election, which of the candidates running against you would have your vote? In other words, what value do you see in the platforms of the other parties? Having met the other candidates running in Parry Sound Muskoka, I would vote for Glen Hodgson of the Green Party. The proposal for a national Pharmacare plan is a very good idea. Also the plan for a universal basic income administered through Revenue Canada would bring several million people, many of them seniors, out of poverty.
