The adoption of an open data strategy has been given green light following the proposal of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Digital Agenda and Telecoms Alexander De Croo. This is a crucial step in strengthening the Belgian digital ecosystem and the evolution towards a leaner, more efficient and modern administration. The federal open data strategy will be adopted in the country through a series of concrete action points starting now and till 2020.
