Copa Cogeca is searching for way to improve the systems of communication and data exchange between farmers and cooperatives. This step is dictated by the whole path of innovations in agricultural sector. Copa-Cogeca Secretary-General Pekka Pesonen said “Precision farming, drones, robots are part of the farming vocabulary and are a reality in many farms and cooperatives across Europe, promising to revamp the sector. Innovation is crucial for the future of European agriculture, but not enough is known about the performance of information systems and the collection and sharing of data that is produced by farmers and cooperatives using new techniques and machinery.
