Hackathon. Code sprint. Startup Weekend. There are many ways to structure an intense weekend during which teams move an idea from concept to execution, depending on your ultimate goals. For our team, the single most important goal of Hack the Commute is to find a way to keep commuters moving in a dynamic urban environment. Seattle streets are under a lot of competing pressures from traffic, construction projects, and growth, not to mention accidents and other complications, all of which disrupt our daily lives and force change. We know that data and technology can help us understand and adapt to these changes.
