The project pitted teams of journalism and computer science students working crunch through open data between Feb. 15 and Feb. 22, 2015.(JAY RANKIN/The Windsor Star) After a week of crunching through data, student journalists and coders found they have more in common than mad typing skills. Windsor Hackforge, a local tech-centred non-profit, paired up journalism students and computer science students in its first-ever data journalism hackathon on the weekend called Press Play.
