The Alberta government, in partnership with Alberta Innovates-Technology Futures, is hosting Apps for Alberta. This competition will challenge software and application developers to use public data to create working computer or mobile applications that provide social and economic value to Albertans.“Modernizing the way government interacts with Albertans is key to our open government strategy. As part of this strategy, we invite developers to take free and available data and turn it into apps that are useful in the day-to-day lives of Albertans,” says Stephen Khan, Minister of Service Alberta.
