Yelp users will soon be able to look up restaurant inspection scores for their favorite eateries now that the user-generated review site has struck a partnership with an open data company in a project aimed at improving public health. Under the new partnership, Yelp will work with Socrata to distribute restaurant inspection information on their site, a move that’s meant to add a layer of transparence to the dining landscape, give diners peace of mind, and improve overall public health in communities around the world.
