New innovations for technology are making a difference in Oregon, in big and small ways. With technology getting better, cheaper, or simply being used in a new way, it is changing the way people live their lives. Professionals working with technology—in health, to government, to education, to business, to the way people interact with each other—agree exciting changes are happening. “There’s amazing stores of knowledge people didn’t have before,” Russell Senior, president of the Personal Telco Project. “It’s more democratized now.” Some technology is doing just that. Several apps and websites are making it easier for voters to make sense of vast amounts of information. Now more Americans and Oregonians make the most of data available to them.
