For the first time, output data from Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiments is freely available to the public in an open access mode. LHC is the largest and most powerful particle accelerator worldwide and is located at CERN, the European Organization for nuclear research. These contents are very valuable for the scientific community and it will be possible to use them also for teaching purposes. The precious container hosting this information is the new Open Data portal, launched by CERN with the purpose of providing academics and students with a wide range of data produced through several scientific activities performed at this prestigious institution. On the new portal, data will be accompanied by programmes and documents needed to understand and analyze the information provided.
