Could you first give an insight into the collaborative nature of CGIAR? CGIAR ensures its research is demand-driven and focused on producing development outcomes at the scale of millions of people, with the overall goal of improving the lives, livelihoods and lands of the world’s poorest individuals. Strong and dynamic partnerships are crucial to delivering such outcomes, as research is a key driver of innovation, but cannot deliver outcomes at scale alone. Working with partners is thus a necessity. How does the CGIAR Consortium contribute to the global movement towards open data? Members of the CGIAR Consortium have been contributing to the open access/open data movement for some time.
