This week, we announced the findings of the Big Data League, a test of 300 decision makers in the UK to understand how they are coping with the big data challenge. The results clearly demonstrate the UK public sector’s aspirations for digital transformation. The journey is ongoing and there’s still a lot of innovation and efficiency to be had, with Policy Exchange estimating the government could save an additional £24bn a year by 2020. But with initiatives including gov.uk, a drive to open up data sets and the ongoing advancement in the government’s cloud journey, there is some great progress being made.
