The Forum was established early in 2014, following a meeting at the Royal Society to follow up the findings and recommendations of the report Science as an Open Enterprise. It is made up of individuals representing funders, universities and research institutes, learned societies, libraries, publishers, and a range of other bodies that provide technical expertise relating to research data.
