毎日、ルワンダ全域にわたって、血液は空から降りてくる。これは反ユートピア・サイエンス・フィクションのプロットではなくZipline、冷やされた血液のパラシュートのパックに無人機を遠隔の病院や診療所にいるカリフォルニア企業。

国の西半分—-ルワンダでウェールズより少し大きめのZiplineを飛ぶロボットが、首都キガリ科学技術管理外の輸血に宅配される。

「今日も病院では、それらは血液を得られる唯一の方法だ」とキーナンウイロベク、Zipline社の創立者の1人は述べている。ルワンダは最近2番目のデポが全国をカバーすることを承認します。

Every day, all over Rwanda, blood falls from the sky. This is not a dystopian science- fiction plot but the creation of Zipline, a Californian company that has built a fleet of drones to parachute packs of chilled blood to remote hospitals and clinics. For the western half of the country — Rwanda is a bit bigger than Wales — Zipline’s flying bots are the main courier for transfusions outside the capital, Kigali. “For the hospitals we serve today, we are the only way they get blood,” said Keenan Wyrobek, Zipline’s co-founder.
