To increase the speed and probability of discovering new crop protection products, Monsanto is collaborating with Atomwise. Together the companies will analyze potential new crop protection products by using artificial intelligence. Monsanto will use Atomwise’s AtomNet technology to apply learning algorithms and supercomputers to analyze molecules for crop protection products. This is in place of trial and error process that reviewed just tens of thousands of molecules—instead the companies will analyze millions of molecules to see which defend best against diseases and insects.
