開いている引用 (I4OC) のためのイニシアティブは、2017 年 4 月 6 日に発売されました。約 6 ヶ月にわたって、イニシアチブはすべて奨学金自由に利用できるリンク引用データの大部分をしました。マーク ・ パターソン (eLife) とカトリオーナ マッカラム (PLOS) が関係者のふたりし、下彼らはこのイニシアチブの開始、それが可能性を記述します。 良いアイデア、想像力をキャプチャし、脱ぐし、正確に開いている引用 (I4OC) のイニシアチブで何が起こった過去 6 カ月間で非常に満足です。 引用文献は、研究者通信方法自分の仕事に基づいて、他人の仕事に関連していると彼らは発見のスプレッドをトレースするため、さまざまな分野や国の研究者によって使用される方法です。

The Initiative for Open Citations (I4OC) was launched on April 6th, 2017. Over the course of about 6 months, the initiative has made a large fraction of the citation data that link all scholarship freely available. Mark Patterson (eLife) and Catriona MacCallum (PLOS) were two of the people involved and below they describe how this initiative started and where it might lead. It is enormously satisfying when a good idea captures the imagination and takes off and that’s precisely what happened with the Initiative for Open Citations (I4OC) over the past 6 months. Citations are the way that researchers communicate how their work builds on and relates to the work of others and they can be used to trace how a discovery spreads and is used by researchers in different disciplines and countries.
