The city of Buffalo’s plan to provide more government data online is now in the public comment phase. Anyone interested in reviewing and commenting on the city’s plan can do so now through Jan. 24 at: https://documents.mymadison.io/docs/city-of-buffalo-open-data-policy or through the City of Buffalo website at https:/www.city-buffalo.com. The Brown Administration is working with the Bloomberg Philanthropies “What Work Cities” initiative to develop what’s being called  “Open Data Buffalo.” The idea is to create a live internet portal to some data sets collected by the City of Buffalo. The Brown Administration has not yet decided which data sets will be made available to the public. The city hopes to launch the effort in July.
