Louise Beaumont, the long-time Head of Public Affairs & Marketing of GLI Finance has departed the firm. According to her LinkedIn profile, Beaumont has taken a position as Vice-Chair of the Open Bank Working Group. Beaumont has been an outspoken advocate of alternative finance and the importance of SME’s for the UK economy. She is a regular commenter on public policy and highly visual spokesperson for GLI “Louise has left the Company effective Friday 23rd September 2016. When Louise joined GLI the principle task she set herself was to work towards the leveling of the playing field for alternative finance and FinTech in the UK. She has worked with HM Treasury, the British Business Bank, the FCA and many more entities, in supporting and encouraging appropriate legislation and regulation.
