The Agreement with the European Environment Agency (EEA) will advance its key role in the further development and technical coordination of the Land Monitoring Service with regard to the pan-European, local and the in-situ component. Together with the free, full and open data policy for Copernicus data and service information, this will support and empower citizens, businesses, researchers and policy makers to integrate an environmental dimension into all their activities and decision-making procedures. It will provide users in the field of environment and other terrestrial applications with high quality information based on space data combined with other sources of in-situ data.
